Festivals 2013

It may be cold and minging outside, but here in the office we're keeping warm, thinking ahead to Louche's 2013 festival appearances. We're delighted to announce we'll be teaming up with some new festies this year, as well as returning to some of our regulars…
So turn your radiators up, put some shorts on, crack open a drink and read our run down of where you can catch Louche on the road in 2013.

Snowbombing
The first in our calendar is actually far from warm. Set in the Austrian Alps' town of Mayrhoffen we're delighted to have been asked to get involved in the worlds most notorious winter festival, Snowbombing. Kasabian, Seth Troxler, The Innervisions Crew (Dixon, Ame & Henrik Schwarz), Bicep, Scuba, Carl Cox, George Fitzgerald and many many more have all been announced to be performing in the mountains next year.
We'll be hosting a snowy party with none other than daddy of house Kerri Chandler and Deetron. Some lineup we're sure you'll agree!

Check the Snowbombing Site out for info on travel, accommodation, ski passes and all that other wintery shizzle. We're gonna have a lot of fun at this, please get in touch if you wanna come with us. Afterparty is in our chalet, hop on your sledge and get on over!

Gottwood
Next up we return for the 3rd year running to Gottwood Festival in Anglesea, North Wales. Getting progressively better every year, this small, boutique festival always provides us with massive amounts of fun, soundtracked by a lineup that leaves your ears more than satisfied.

The Gottwood team value art just as highly as the music though, with installations set up all through the woods, at times it's like walking through a huge al fresco art gallery. And did we mention it's right by the sea? If the weather is good enough (it was the first year we went) then swimming is well on the cards!
For more info visit the Gottwood Website. See you in the trees!

Garden Festival
Then in July we're off for our second away fixture on foreign soil, in Croatia, for the wonderful Garden Festival. Like Gottwood this one is turning into a regular fixture, with this being our third year over there. Last year they made the decision to move sites up the beautiful coast to the town of Tisno. We hosted the late night discotheque for the festival and had an absolute blast. This year we're commandeering the Argonaugty Ship, presenting our very first Louche boat party. Keep your eyes peeled for the special guest, we'll be announcing soon.
The Garden really is becoming the place to be during the summer’s festival calendar. The most perfectly crafted small festival is the dramatic opposite of a mega-festival…a small site, a moderate sized line-up and only about 2500 people. And therein lies the beauty of the whole thing. The ethos of the Garden Festival works perfectly and it’s only when the music tempo increases that you really feel inclined to do anything at all beyond just being there.

The beautiful sunsets, great atmosphere and like-minded festival goer’s continually bring the Garden to life, with the music always matching the mood of the climate. The Garden Website tells you all you need to know about this too much fun festval.
Eastern Electrics
And then back on home soil in August we're hosting a tent at a real heavy hitter of a UK festival. Last year Eastern Electrics was a one day spectacular, set in London over looking the city soundtracked by virtually every electronic music producer worth seeing.

2013 is different. The line up is just as silly as last years, but now the party will be spread over a full weekend, and is homed at the Legendary Knebworth Estate. Catch us on the Sunday hosting a stage. We have three guests booked, but can only tell you one for now; German house music pimp Prosumer, perhaps our favourite DJ out there. Needless to say, we can't bloody wait!
Check the Eastern Electics Site, the first wave of acts has already been announced.

Louche @ WHP 2012

Good news! We've been invited back to play at Manchester's mighty Warehouse Project. Brins and Josh supported MCDE and Todd Terje in Room 2 last year, and we really thought that couldn't be capped, until we got the call for 2012...
It gives us enormous pleasure to announce that we're playing again, amongst a truly star-studded lineup including Richie Hawtin, Loco Dice, Nina Kraviz and Carl the big man Cox.
Moving on from their most recent home in the centre of town, WHP are now based a little bit out of the city, in a new 3 room venue that promises to be their best yet. They have some enormous lineups besides the night we are playing at, for full info check their website.
The event is extremely close to selling out but fear not, we got paper tickets, hit us up if you want in! See you in Manchester x

Zoo Festival

It's rare that a festival going into it's debut event seems a sure thing, and a guaranteed hit. But such is Zoo Project in Ibiza's reputation and party know-how that their debut UK Festival in September looks to be a stormer. The huge lineup, featuring Sasha, DJ Sneak, Julio Bashmore, Ben Klock, Visionquest, Pearson Sound, Chez Damier, Raresh will be split across stages hosted by Cocoon, Secretsundaze, Ostgut Ton & many more.
Head over to the Louche Stage to catch our pals Prosumer and Margaret Dygas, alongwith new guest for Louche, the impressive and utterly bonkers San Proper performing live for us, and of course Brins and Josh.
Set in a Safari Park down south, and with plenty more acts still to be announced, the hype is huge for this one, and we are honoured to be involved.

Spilt Milk

Spilt Milk Daytime Terrace Party // Saturday 11th August 12pm - 11pm @ The Dairy
We're in East London on the 11th, getting together with our pals Spilt Milk for a cheeky little day party.
This will be Spilt Milk's 5th installment of their summer season, and we're happy to be draughted in to help out, and even happier to be presenting the headliner, Perlon co owner Sammy Dee.
The label run a monthly club night hosted and curated by Sammy, "...GET PERLONIZED!", at now infamous Panorama Bar, one of the most prestigious club events Europe-wide.
Various releases, such as Inter Alia, in cooperation with Guido Schneider and Heiko Laux for Poker Flat and Kanzleramt respectively, are defining the German music scene. Together with his partner in crime and Perlon co-founder, Zip. Sammy created Pantytec in 1998. Six publications followed, including one album full of all-pervading anti-labelling named Pony Slaystation. Working together with Bruno Pronsato, Sammy Dee gave birth to Half Hawaii in 2006.Sammy Dee's youngest child is named Ultrastretch. Titled after the PERLON68-B-side, Sammy founded Ultrastretch at the end of 2010 with a collective of like-minded musicians. He cultivated artists who were ready to walk with him on his underground community based path into a non-genre-focussed future. Release #1 was realized in January 2011 with Matthew Burton's 'Who Loves You/Small Winner', a Seuil and Half Hawaii EP is on it's way.

The Garden Get Together
Louche is pleased to say that shortly after our arrival in Wales for Gottwood Festival we will be heading down the Adriatic Croatian coastline to Join Garden Festival in its new found home of Tisno.
The Garden is fast becoming the place to be during the summer’s festival calendar.
The beautiful sunsets, great atmosphere and like-minded festivalgoer’s continually bring the Garden to life, with the music always matching the mood of the climate.

Last years Garden Festival in the beautiful setting of Petrcane really opened our eyes to a whole new festival scene happening in Croatia. A beautiful place, amazing people and an eclectic music policy that’s right up our street!
With this years lineup boasting the likes of Nicholas Jaar, Prosumer, Pillowtalk, Ben UFO and 2020 Soundsystem amongst others, things are looking brighter than the weather for Garden 2012. You can catch us on the Thursday night at Barbarellas Discotech, joined by very special guest Dyed Soundorom.
In Conjunction with our appearance at Garden, Dyed will be joined by Swedish hot shots Genius Of Time on May 19th at our home The Mint Club. The event, one of a series of nationwide 'Garden Get Togethers' will be the perfect warm up to the festival, which in our eyes can't come quickly enough. Check the Garden Fest Website for info on travel, accommodation and most importantly; tickets. We hope to see you out there in the sunshine.

Gottwood
You know summer's round the corner when you start announcing festival appearances. First one of the year for Louche- Wales' boutique Gottwood Festival. Yes it gives us enormous pleasure to announce that this June we are returning to one of our highlights of summer 2011. Back with a bang for 2012 and boasting it's best lineup to date, the charming festival kicks off the Summer Solstice 21st - 24th June 2012, and if its anything like last year, will be dangerous amounts of fun. You can catch us on Saturday night, joined by guest Dinky.

Gottwood's come a long way in three years, but nothing has drastically changed. Gottwood is still a small, boutique, and wholly independent electronic music festival. It is set within the deepest darkest depths of the Welsh woodland, and next to the sandy beaches of the Irish Ocean. The location is like no other place you will have been, like something out of a fairy tale, or your most lucid dream, the area has even been described by Lonely Planet as the 'Greatest Region On The Earth 2012'.

Last year we took control of Sunday's alfresco proceedings, playing an open top caravan all day in the baking heat. This year Louche moves inside, hosting a tent on the Saturday night, joined by the one and only Dinky. With other acts such as Move D, Tiger & Woods, Appleblim, The Correspondents and Arkist all playing too over the weekend, musically Gottwood 2012 looks set to be a blinder. Just as important at the music though, Gottwoods attention to detail on arts and production is second to none, the team transforming the site into a woodland wonderland, with installations from a selection of top UK artists.

1st and 2nd tier tickets have already been snapped up, and with the festval being capped at an intimate 1500 people, this year is a definite sell out. Grab a remaining bargain 85 quid ticket from Gottwood's ticket link. And for more info visit the Gottwood Website.
See you in the trees x
